The Hotel Rideau | Boutique Hotel and Residences

We came across The Hotel Rideau when looking for places while renos were being done on our house. We rented a two bedroom and were here for a month. It was super clean and has everything you need! Just add food ;•) I have two children and they thought it was so fun to be within walking distance of everything in town! Communication with staff was quick and amazing! They were very pleasant and went above and beyond what we were expecting. We were also given info about the Hotel and the area and how to contact if needed. We are very grateful to have found this place and help make our stressful house situation a lot easier. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Smith's Falls!

Beautiful rooms for the price and it comes with a full kitchen! The internet was incredibly fast for hotel wifi. We were there over the Xmas break so it could’ve been that the hotel was just emptier than usual. Check in and check out was smooth and painless. The only complaint I’d have are the beds. This was in the top five worst beds I’ve even slept on which is crazy cause hotel beds are usually amongst the best beds I’ve slept on. If you turned over or even shifted a little you could hear the twang of springs. We laid a bunch of bedding from the second room down to make it bearable but it was still pretty bad. The only thing that kept this from a five star experience. They allowed our pets as well which I should thank them for. All in all a decent experience but bring a pillow top if you’re staying for more than one night.

I stayed at the hotel last weekend and had a wonderful experience at your stunning Hotel. They are under new management now. Although I have enjoyed my stay in the past, there now is a much easier check in and lots of attention to our needs ( thank you Barbara). We brought our dog again and had a beautiful view of downtown Smiths Falls from our balcony. I also left my phone charger and Barbara responds very quickly to my emails and has already got it ready to send to me. I will continue to stay at the hotel in the future and very highly recommend them in the future.

My stay at Hotel Rideau in Smiths Falls has been outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and exceptional service. My stay has been comfortable and enjoyable. This hotel proves clean and spacious accommodations that provided all the comforts of home. What truly stood out to me was how accommodating the staff were. They were always willing to assist with any requests and have made me feel like a valued guest throughout my time there. I would highly recommend Hotel Rideau to anyone visiting Smiths Falls. Beautiful boutique style hotel located right on the Main Street of smiths falls. Walking distance to the locks and all the dining and shopping the town has to offer. The hotel itself was exceptional. Very clean, very comfortable. Excellent customer service from the owners. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Very clean place, very close to anything you need. Been staying here past 6 weeks while attending training for work! Hotel managers are super easy to get a hold of and meet expectations and needs for all my co-workers in the training, who are also staying here. Prices are pretty great for having a full apartment would recommend to anyone!

I spent 2 months at the beautiful Hotel Rideau. Barbara the on-site manager was absolutely amazing!!! She makes you feel like your “home”… always available and oh so helpful. I had a 1 bedroom suite and it was perfection. Beautifully decorated with high end finishes and you can feel the history just walking the halls, sitting on the balcony of the rooms that have balconies. Extremely clean and well stocked. The rooms have pamphlets of Smiths Falls history and local attractions and dining suggestions. Very relaxing stay, quiet and very secure. I would highly recommend this iconic Hotel Rideau, even just for a quick get away. A plus was the C’est Tout bakery on main level. Everything there was sinfully delicious! I will visit again soon. I have been staying a month and I am absolutely in love. This has become my home my home away from home for work, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The apartments are cleaned regularly, very spacious and beautifully decorated. The upkeep of the building is very noticeable. The couple who look after this property Barbara and Dwayne are two of the nicest, hospitable and generous people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They’ve literally saved me from two car mishaps and ensured I made it to and from work safely. The cafe attached to the entrance is a must! I strongly suggest the lemon cheesecake if you’re lucky enough to see it in stock. Great people and great experience
